🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in Glenwood, Iowa, observed a round object the size of a dime held at arm's length, appearing red, that appeared in the west and disappeared in the south. The object moved to the right and then to the left over a period of 45 minutes. Although no photos were taken, investigators considered the possibility that it was a balloon, as its movement and duration supported this assessment.
The report, dated October 1955, was classified under Project 10073 and sent to several air bases for analysis. Although not identified with certainty, the object's description and behavior suggest a conventional explanation such as a balloon, though other phenomena were not ruled out.
