🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1955, a ground observer in Storm Lake, Iowa, spotted a red, green, and white object moving silently without leaving a trail. The object was seen for one hour and four minutes, moving back and forth in an east-west direction. Despite the long observation time, no photos were taken and the witness did not provide exact positional data. The official evaluation considered it possibly a celestial object, though other explanations were not ruled out. The report never reached a definitive conclusion, keeping the mystery around this case alive.
The report, under Project 10073, was reviewed by a USAF officer who concluded there was no confirmed aircraft contact. The object's unusual description and behavior generated some confusion, leading to various hypotheses, from weather balloons to celestial bodies. Although the object was never identified with certainty, the case remains an intriguing account among many sightings from that era.
