🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1955, a civilian in Beatrice, Nebraska, reported a bright object in the sky. The sighting occurred around 5 a.m. and lasted at least 30 minutes. The observer described a very bright point of light with no defined shape, flickering between yellow and blue. No sound or movement was detected, making the object appear stationary. Despite the long observation time, no photos were taken and no positional data was included. Investigators concluded it was likely a star or planet, though no coordinates were provided to confirm this theory.
The official report lacks radar data or additional details, and the witness provided no further information. The absence of physical or photographic evidence limited the possibility of a more precise evaluation. Like many cases from that era, this one was classified as "insufficient for conclusive evaluation," with an astronomical explanation considered most likely. Still, the description of a bright, shapeless object remains intriguing, and other possibilities were not ruled out.
