Summary

In November 1955, an observer at Dover AFB, Delaware, reported seeing two round objects the size of a baseball, separated by approximately a mile. Both objects were moving in parallel toward the southeast at an estimated altitude of 3000 feet. A civilian witness and a military personnel confirmed the sighting, though the latter stated it was not a jet aircraft with afterburners. The report concluded the objects were likely aircraft, though their exact type remained unidentified. The observation lasted between 2 and 3 minutes, with clear skies and unlimited visibility.

During the incident, the takeoff and landing of several aircraft, including F-94 and C-124, were also recorded, which added confusion about the exact nature of the objects. Although no photos were taken, the report includes detailed testimonies and weather data. The officer in charge ruled out the possibility of weather balloons or astronomical phenomena, reinforcing the hypothesis that the objects were conventional aircraft. However, the report did not fully resolve the uncertainty about their identity.
