🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
An officer from the 1473th Flight Service Squadron at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, reported the observation of two luminous objects in the sky on November 10, 1955. The objects were round, white, and blue, with no sound, and their brightness fluctuated. The officer observed them for two hours using binoculars, and although balloon or aircraft possibilities were initially considered, they were ruled out. Ultimately, the objects were identified as astronomical bodies: Jupiter and Regulus, located at about 25-30 degrees elevation. Their position and behavior matched expected astronomical data, leading to the case being classified as non-UFO.
The evaluation concluded there was no evidence of unexplained phenomena, and the report was archived without further investigation. The report also included detailed visibility data, weather conditions, and precise location, supporting the astronomical identification.
