Summary

In November 1955, a witness in St Louis, Missouri, observed an unidentified aerial object for 45 seconds. The object appeared round and flat, with a dark bottom side and a silver-colored top side. It moved in formation, three abreast and four deep, without making any noise. The witness saw it at a 75-degree elevation heading northeast, where it disappeared over the horizon. Two people confirmed the sighting, a 64-year-old and a 62-year-old, both from St Louis. The weather conditions were clear with bright sunshine and strong winds at different altitudes.

Despite considering various explanations, such as balloons or aircraft, the report concluded the object could not be identified. No vibrations or signs of power units were recorded. The official report classified it as "unknown," suggesting it might have been a new type of aircraft in formation. However, no conventional explanation fit the observed phenomenon, leaving the case unresolved.
