🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1955, an observer in Liconnville, Maine, reported a 60-foot long and wide object in the rear. The object was flashing green and made no sound, which caught the witness's attention. Although the sighting was recorded, the available information was insufficient for a conclusive evaluation. Authorities considered the possibility that it was a balloon, a meteor, or an astronomical phenomenon, but no definitive identification was made.
The report, part of Project 10073, was classified as "insufficient for evaluation" due to the lack of concrete data. Despite details such as shape, color, and absence of noise being recorded, there was no confirmation of what was actually seen. This case, like many from that era, reflects the difficulty in distinguishing between natural phenomena and unexplained aerial occurrences.
