🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1955, a witness in Lyons, Nebraska reported a luminous object flashing red, blue, and white lights. The object was observed for about 30 seconds and made no sound. The witness, along with his brother and others, attempted to follow it but could not determine its nature. Despite multiple observations, authorities concluded there was insufficient data to evaluate the phenomenon. Some suggested it could be an astronomical object or an aircraft, but the unusual characteristics of the object raised doubts. This case, like many from the era, reflects the confusion and mystery surrounding UFO sightings in the 1950s.
