🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1955, a seven-year-old boy in Woodside, California, observed an object described as a metallic version of Saturn with rings and lights. The object, which maintained a straight course and rotated slowly, was seen for 2½ minutes at an estimated distance of 1½ miles. Although the report suggests it could be an aircraft, the round shape and other details raised doubts. The testimony was reported nine years later, adding a touch of mystery to the sighting.
The report details that the object had red and green lights, a silver metallic color, and a thin white vapor trail. Although other explanations such as balloons or astronomical effects were considered, no definitive conclusion was reached. The boy, along with other observers, saw the object after dusk in a partially dark sky. The detailed description and accuracy of the account, even many years later, keep the story intriguing and open to interpretation.
