🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1956, two teenagers in Turlock, California, observed two round blue-green objects the size of baseballs. They watched them for an unknown period, describing them as moving "up and down." Fighter jets were dispatched to the area, but pilots reported seeing nothing except two exceptionally bright stars overhead. The official evaluation concluded the sighting was caused by these stars, not an unidentified object.
The report, under Project 10073, lacked photos or radar data, and the observation duration was not recorded. The teenagers' testimony and the vertical movement description created some confusion, but officials agreed there was no evidence of an unusual aerial phenomenon. The case was closed with the astronomical explanation, with no further investigations.
