UFO sighted at McChord AFB in 1956

Summary

In January 1956, an observer at McChord AFB, Washington, spotted a circular object 1.5 feet in diameter, smaller than the moon. The object emitted red flames and moved in a straight line into the clouds. The sighting lasted one minute and was recorded as a "likely meteor". Although the object appeared fuzzy and luminous, no photos or radar were used. The data was limited, but it was concluded to be a meteor, possibly natural. This case is part of the declassified Air Force files.
