🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1956, a witness in Glenwood, Iowa, reported seeing two round objects the size of dimes stacked on top of each other. The air traffic controller at the time believed they might be aircraft, but no photographs or additional data confirmed this hypothesis. The object was moving south and emitting an intermittent white glow along with a reddish-green flash. Despite the visual observation, there was no definitive confirmation of the object's nature.
The official conclusion of the report suggested it was likely a balloon or aircraft, but an astronomical phenomenon was not ruled out. The report lacked sufficient data for a more precise evaluation, leaving the interpretation open. Like many other sightings of the time, this case reflects the uncertainty and lack of clear evidence that characterized many unidentified flying object reports.
