In February 1956, a civilian pilot reported a mysterious object during a flight near Houston, Texas. While climbing to 6,000 feet, he observed an intense white light a thousand feet above him. The object moved unpredictably, following the plane's turns and rapidly distancing itself at an estimated speed of 4 to 5 times the aircraft's 250 mph. No sound was heard and no radar detection was made, making identification difficult. The object disappeared toward the Fort Worth-Waco area, leaving no trace.

The official report classified it as "unidentified," ruling out explanations such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena.
