🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1956, an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) aircraft detected unidentified UFO tracks in the Taiwan Strait, near the Shanghai area. Officials took two 35 mm film reels to document the phenomenon. Later, the images and radar recordings were analyzed to rule out the presence of unknown aircraft or suspicious activities in the region. However, the results were inconclusive.
After a detailed study of the photos and considering geographical, topographical, and weather factors, it was concluded that the observed tracks were likely due to radar interference from ground and sea objects, as well as nearby radar equipment. Despite the efforts, the origin of the phenomenon could not be definitively identified. The collected materials, including films and photographs, were classified and destroyed decades later.
