🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1956, a pilot and co-pilot near Goose Bay, Labrador, observed an unidentified flying object. The object appeared suddenly in the sky, with a teardrop shape and bright blue color. It left a trail of heavy yellow-orange fire and sparks. The pilots estimated it was traveling at 500-600 knots, a speed impossible for any known aircraft of the time. The observer compared it to a V-2 rocket, and the co-pilot described it as looking like the end of a rocket tail. The sighting lasted about 60 seconds before it disappeared.
The object's description and behavior raised questions about its nature. Although initially considered a jet aircraft, the duration and speed made it incompatible with any known plane. The teardrop shape and fire trail made it an unusual phenomenon. The official report classified it as a jet aircraft, but the possibility of an unidentified object was not ruled out. This case remains a mystery in UFO history.
