Summary

In March 1956, a witness in Avon Park, Florida, observed hundreds of round and shiny objects moving in formation. According to the report, the objects resembled child's balloons but were at a great height and reflected light intensely. The observation occurred in two moments: first, the objects were scattered, and then they formed a wedge-shaped formation. Despite the detailed description, military observers concluded they were birds. The clarity and number of objects make this observation remarkable.

The observation lasted one minute and was made using binoculars. The witness, a housewife, described the objects as very shiny and silent. Although other explanations such as balloons or aircraft were considered, the GOC (Ground Observer Corps) observers eventually identified the objects as birds. However, the nature of the formation and the behavior of the objects caused some confusion, especially since another similar report was recorded in the same area shortly after.
