🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer in Saginaw, Michigan, reported seeing a spherical object with orange coloring and gray bands at the top and bottom. The object appeared stationary in the western sky for about ten minutes before disintegrating from the bottom up. Although the possibility of a large weather balloon was ruled out, researchers considered the object might still be a balloon due to its shape and color. The sighting occurred at dawn with clear weather and no visual obstructions.
The object was described as roughly the size of a basketball, with irregular gray bands. There was no sound or exhaust trail, ruling out conventional aircraft or spacecraft. No identification or interception actions were taken, but the witness provided a sketch of the object, adding credibility to the account. The report concludes that while the object was not definitively identified, it could have been an unusual type of balloon.
