🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1956, a young witness in Bedford, Ohio, described a round object the size of a basketball with a yellow color. The object moved slowly, rotated, and had one side dimmer than the other. Despite being observed for an unspecified duration, the lack of precise data such as exact duration and location hindered any conclusive analysis. Brookfield Air Force Station reported that no definitive conclusions could be drawn, though conventional explanations like a weather balloon or aircraft beacon were not ruled out.
The official report, under Project 10073, noted that the testimony was limited and no photographs were taken. The sole witness, aged 21, used binoculars to observe the object, which moved in irregular patterns. Although an estimated altitude of 1 to 1.5 miles was recorded, there were no data on upper winds or complete weather conditions. In the end, the case was filed as "insufficient for evaluation," a common classification for UFO reports at the time when no clear identification could be made.
