In March 1956, a witness in Lutz, Florida, observed two reddish-white lights the size of a baseball. The objects appeared suddenly and vanished in a flash heading southeast. The observer reported the phenomenon lasted just one second, making any detailed analysis difficult. Although a meteor was considered due to a similar sighting in the area at the same time, there was not enough data for a conclusive evaluation.
The official report noted that no photos were taken and that the data was insufficient. The on-duty officer at the post confirmed the sighting, and a falling star was recorded minutes later, sparking some speculation. However, the lack of additional details and the event's brevity kept its nature a mystery.
