Spherical UFO sighted in Bellingham in 1956

Summary

In March 1956, a witness in Bellingham, Washington, observed a round object the size of a basketball. The object was described as dark grey and balloon-like, but its level flight led to the conclusion that it was an aircraft. The sighting lasted two minutes, and the object disappeared behind a mill. Despite its balloon-like appearance, the report concluded it was a conventional aircraft.

The witness, 70 years old, observed the object from the ground. No photographs or radar data were recorded.
