🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1956, prisoners at Folsom Center in California observed an unusual object. They described a streamlined object, roughly the size of a B-29, black in color with red and white lights. The object made no noise and the prisoners thought it might be a flying wing. It appeared from the southeast, circled the prison once, then headed northwest. After about four minutes of observation, it disappeared from sight. Although a preliminary report was submitted, no official document was kept.
The lack of noise and the object's appearance caused confusion. The sighting was based on an Air Force report, but investigators concluded it was likely an aircraft. However, the unusual description and trajectory led to doubts. The case was closed without further investigation, but it remains a curious example of how witnesses can interpret aerial phenomena very differently.
