In March 1966, a witness in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, reported a bright object resembling a star but ten times brighter. The object shifted from white to a pale orange and then returned to a bright glow. Although there was no radar contact, investigators concluded it was likely the planet Venus.
The classified report notes that the object had no distinctive shape and was observed for several minutes. Despite the lack of technological confirmation, officials agreed it was an astronomical phenomenon. This case, though not conclusive, shows how celestial objects can be mistaken for unexplained phenomena.
