🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in Fitzgerald, Georgia, reported a luminous object in the sky that hovered and shone like a star. The object, described as basketball-sized and silvery yellowish, was observed for 2 hours and 45 minutes. Despite ground and aerial observations, its nature remained unclear at first. However, investigators concluded it was the planet Venus, visible during the day at that time of year. An astronomer confirmed the object followed Venus's typical path, explaining its appearance and movement. The sighting, initially puzzling, turned out to be a common astronomical phenomenon.
