🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1956, a witness in Greensboro, North Carolina, observed a bright silver object darting across the sky without sound. The object, described as larger than a baseball and round, was initially mistaken for a shooting star but lacked a tail and faded abruptly. The witness and a friend also saw two copper-colored objects flying in parallel, maintaining a fixed relative position. The absence of red and green navigation lights and the unusual shapes led to speculation about their nature. The report categorized the first object as an aircraft, while the others were considered possibly meteors.
The sighting lasted from three seconds to five minutes, with the silver object appearing suddenly and disappearing just as quickly. Despite the clear night and starry sky, the objects did not display typical characteristics of aircraft or meteors. The detailed account, including the elliptical shape of one object and the lack of conventional features, adds an air of mystery to this case, which was recorded by Project 10073 of the U.S. Air Force.
