🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A blue-white object was observed for 30 minutes in Huntington, California, on April 27, 1956. The witness, a 35-year-old man, reported that the object was at around 5,000 feet and moved erratically westward. Despite its irregular motion, it remained in the same relative position throughout the observation.
Investigators concluded the phenomenon was likely the planet Venus, though other possibilities were not ruled out. There were no photographs or radar involved, and the report was classified under Project 10073. Although the object did not display typical characteristics of balloons or aircraft, its behavior and sky position led to the astronomical conclusion.
