🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1956, a witness in Crestview, Florida, reported a bluish light object moving erratically before rising vertically. The object, described as a pinpoint light the size of a pinhead, was observed for three minutes and moved left and right before disappearing. Although no photos were taken, the report classifies the sighting as "possibly a balloon," given the unstable movement and upward trajectory. The observer was a civilian located at the CAP office at the local airport.
The official assessment concluded there was insufficient data to determine the object's nature with certainty. However, the report notes clear weather and excellent visibility, suggesting the observation was not affected by atmospheric phenomena. Despite contacting the 35th Air Division, no unusual aircraft activity was recorded in the area. The case remains one of those mysteries that linger unresolved in the UFO archives.
