In May 1956, a student at Queens College in Flushing, Long Island, observed a white object that appeared to be half the size of a commercial aircraft. The object was traveling at high speed, followed the plane, and overtook it with a sudden burst of speed before disappearing. The sighting lasted between 5 and 10 minutes and was recorded as possibly a jet-type aircraft. Although no photos were taken at the time, film was sent for analysis. The report concluded that the object was likely a jet aircraft, given its speed and size.
