🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A civilian observer reported a round pink object, the size of a basketball, at an estimated altitude of 300 to 600 meters. The sighting occurred around 2:30 AM on June 2, 1956, in Waupun, Wisconsin. The object was moving westward and remained visible at the time of the report. Although the possibility of Venus was considered, no smoke trails, sounds, or emissions were recorded, leaving the phenomenon unexplained.
The official evaluation marked that there was insufficient data to rule out an astronomical explanation, but the object was not conclusively identified. This case, without photographs or radar confirmation, was filed as "possibly Venus," though no definitive conclusion was reached. The testimony, though brief, adds another piece to the long history of unexplained sightings in the 1950s.
