🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1956, a civilian in Columbus, Ohio, reported seeing 2 or 3 small, bright aerial objects. The objects, the size of a pencil tip and the color of a flashbulb, appeared for a few seconds before disappearing into an overcast sky. The witness saw them from inside his house, through a window, which explains the short duration of the sighting. Although balloon and astronomical explanations were initially considered, investigators concluded it was likely an aircraft that vanished into the clouds. The object's description and behavior did not match conventional objects, creating some uncertainty.
