🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1956, an object was spotted near Plattsburg, New York, sparking some controversy. It was described as a round object the size of a two-engine aircraft, accompanied by a larger one, with a yellowish glow. The observation lasted two minutes from the ground, drawing attention from investigators. Initially, it was thought to be a balloon, but the possibility of an F-94B aircraft was also considered. However, no definitive conclusion was reached.
The lack of physical evidence and the inability to correlate the object with radar data made any analysis inconclusive. The 764th ACWron base did not record any interceptions or confirm the object's presence, leaving the sighting without a clear explanation. Despite this, the report reflects the typical uncertainty of UFO cases from that era, where technological limitations and a lack of concrete data were common.
