Summary

In June 1956, a witness in Crescent, Iowa, observed a round object the size of a baseball, silver in color, flying east. The sighting lasted about a minute and was reported by a civilian. Although balloon or astronomical explanations were considered, investigators concluded it was an aircraft. However, no photographs or additional data were included to confirm this assessment.

The report, part of Project 10073, was shared with several military units and Air Force intelligence. Despite being classified as "insufficient data for evaluation," the case was filed without further investigation.
