🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1956, a TWA pilot reported a blue object with a dark streak traveling from north to southwest at 4000 feet. The object appeared larger than an aircraft and was observed 17 miles east of Columbus, Ohio. Although a meteor was considered, there was not enough information for a definitive evaluation.
The report, received on July 13, also mentions that a member of the Columbus Fire Department confirmed the sighting. However, the duration of the observation was not recorded, complicating the classification of the phenomenon. The lack of precise data left the nature of the object unresolved.
