🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1956, a witness in Monrovia, Indiana, observed a round object, orange in color, the size of a quarter held at arm's length. The object was heading northwest at high speed and then ascended straight up. The sighting lasted thirty seconds, with no photos taken. Although the report considered it "possibly an aircraft," the description didn't match conventional objects. This case was classified as "possibly aircraft" due to the lack of conclusive data.
The report lacks radar or photographic evidence, with only a visual description from the witness. While other possibilities like balloons or astronomical phenomena were dismissed, the nature of the object remains ambiguous. Cases like this, though brief, are valuable for understanding how sightings were handled in the 1950s, when UFO hunting was at its peak.
