🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1956, a pilot reported observing a circular, luminous object for 40 minutes near a Massachusetts air base. The object, white with yellow tones, moved at a speed similar to that of an EC-121 aircraft and, at times, appeared to reverse direction without banking or turning. Although it climbed to 20,000 feet, its nature could not be conclusively determined. Investigators concluded there was insufficient data to determine whether it was a balloon, an aircraft, or an astronomical phenomenon.
The lack of precise data and the absence of photographs made any conclusive evaluation difficult. The report suggests it could have been an astronomical event, but no coordinates were recorded and no further identification was attempted. This case remains one of those mysteries that remind us of the unknown still lingering in the skies.
