🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1956, a witness in Challange, California, reported a round object the size of a dime with red and green colors. The object was observed for 25 minutes using 7X binoculars and moved slowly, twisting behind a hill. Despite the duration of the sighting, no precise positional data was recorded. Investigators concluded that there was insufficient information to determine if it was a balloon, aircraft, astronomical body, or something else.
The lack of precise data and the inability to confirm the nature of the object led to an insufficient evaluation. Like many cases from that era, this one highlights the difficulty researchers faced in identifying aerial phenomena without clear evidence. Although several hypotheses were considered, from balloons to celestial bodies, the final report did not reach a definitive conclusion.
