🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1956, a witness in Ocala, Florida, observed a red cylindrical object for 40 minutes. The object, comparable in size to a car headlight, appeared in the east at 30 degrees elevation and moved toward the northwest, disappearing at 20 degrees elevation. It wasn't detected on radar, ruling out an aircraft.
The description and wind conditions led investigators to consider it possibly a balloon. Although no photos were taken, the witness provided a detailed account of the object's shape, color, and behavior. The official evaluation labeled it as "possibly a balloon," without reaching a definitive conclusion.
