Summary

In August 1956, a witness in Wall Lake, Michigan, observed a round object the size of an orange at arm's length. The object emitted a bright glow and was seen for two minutes, both with the naked eye and binoculars, before fading into the horizon. The description of a "bright glow in the sky" caught the observer's attention, a 38-year-old engineer. Although no photos were taken, the report suggests it could have been an aircraft or a jet contrail, but no conclusive data exists.

The official evaluation considered the sighting possibly attributable to an aircraft, but the possibility of an unidentified object was not ruled out.
