🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1956, a bright object was sighted over Camden, Alabama, and the Panamá City, Florida area. A witness described it as a glowing body that appeared to hover or float in the sky, sending off sparks or glints. The observation lasted between 30 and 40 minutes, and the object continuously rose without moving more than 10 degrees. Although initially considered a possible weather balloon, reports ruled this out. Investigators eventually concluded it was a star—specifically Capella—but this raised doubts due to the detailed description of the phenomenon.
The case was classified as "no case" due to insufficient evidence, but the testimonies and the object's characteristics suggest it could have been an unusual phenomenon. The object's description and behavior didn't easily fit conventional categories, adding mystery to this report from over sixty years ago.
