🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1956, a woman and her son observed a wingless flying object from their apartment in Boston. The object was approaching them directly, with red and blue lights on opposite sides. Despite the observation lasting one and a half to two minutes, no wings or rotor blades were visible, which caused confusion. The report suggests it could be a helicopter, although the lighting conditions and distance made identification difficult. The object's description and behavior did not fit conventional categories, drawing attention from investigators.
The case was referred to the military, but no thorough investigation was conducted. The observer, worried about being considered "unbalanced," decided to report the incident, although no additional witnesses were found. The object disappeared after flying over a building, leaving a humming sound. Although a halo phenomenon was considered, the detailed description of the object and its flight path did not easily fit that explanation.
