🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1956, a witness in Colonial Hill, Pennsylvania, reported seeing five black objects the size of birds. The objects appeared in the sky, moved west, then east, and finally disappeared to the north. The observer watched them for one minute through binoculars, noting no sound. Although initially mysterious, investigators concluded they were likely birds. The description, size, color, and flight path matched typical bird behavior.
The official evaluation of the case was clear: "probably birds." There were no photographs or radar data involved, only a visual observation. Despite the apparent simplicity, such reports were common during the Blue Book era. The case was logged under number 10073 and sent to several air units for analysis. Although no definitive conclusions were reached, the most logical explanation was the simplest one.
