🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1956, a witness in Bloom, Kansas reported an object that suddenly disappeared. The sighting was deemed insufficient for evaluation due to lack of data. The observer, a man around 33 years old, saw the object at 15 degrees above the horizon, moving east. There were no photos or radar involved, only a ground visual observation. Weather conditions were clear, with strong winds at high altitudes, making identification even more difficult.
The available information was sparse and did not allow investigators to determine if the object was a balloon, an aircraft, or something else. The official report marked "insufficient data for evaluation," which is common in cases with minimal details. Despite the brief sighting, this case remains an unresolved mystery in the history of mid-20th century UFO reports.
