🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A witness in West Haven, Connecticut, reported a white, round object appearing as a slowly rising light in the north. The observer described it as the size of a quarter at arm's length, though investigators considered this estimate clearly incorrect. The object was observed for over an hour and a half, with its brightness fluctuating at times. Due to insufficient data, a request for more information was sent. Analysts concluded it was likely an astronomical observation, possibly the star Capella, viewed under unusual atmospheric or thermal inversion conditions.
