🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1956, a witness in Washington reported a white, round object the size of a dime that slowly ascended for three hours and fifteen minutes. Despite the long observation, no photos were taken, and the only account came from the observer himself. After analysis, it was concluded that the phenomenon was not a balloon or aircraft, but rather the planet Mars. The match in color, brightness, and trajectory with the red planet convinced the air base investigators that there was nothing supernatural in the sky that night.
The report includes detailed weather data, such as strong winds at high altitudes and unlimited visibility, supporting the idea that there were no obstacles or optical distortions. Although three possible balloon launch sites were mentioned, no connection to the observed object was found. Ultimately, the case was closed with an astronomical explanation, making it clear that no unidentified activity occurred in the sky on September 2, 1956.
