🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1956, an unidentified object was sighted for seven hours in Kalispell, Montana. Witnesses described it as a bowl or teardrop-shaped object with colors ranging from red to green to white. Initially thought to be a balloon or aircraft, the investigation concluded it was likely the planet Mars. Five F-84C jet fighters attempted to intercept it without success, and several observers confirmed it was not a conventional natural phenomenon. The Air Force concluded the object was astronomical in nature, although some witnesses expressed doubts.
