🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1956, a witness in Vandalia, Ohio, observed an aerial object that appeared to hover motionless in the sky. The object was round, the size of a pea, and had a reddish color. The observation lasted about 20 minutes, and the witness described it as possibly a balloon. However, investigators considered the possibility that it was an aircraft or an astronomical phenomenon like Mars. Although there were no other witnesses, the report concluded the sighting could be explained by a celestial body observed from the ground.
