🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1956, an observer reported a black rocket-shaped object leaving a vapor trail. It was seen for 11 seconds, without sound or lights, five miles from a point in the Pacific. The object traveled at 600 mph, changing course from 180 to 070 degrees. The report lacked precise data to determine its full path, leading to a conclusion of insufficient information for evaluation.
The case was classified as having inadequate data for a clear assessment. Although the object was described as the size of a dime at arm's length, it could not be determined if it was a balloon, aircraft, astronomical event, or something unknown. The brevity of the observation and lack of precise data complicated any conclusive analysis. This case highlights the challenges faced by researchers at the time in classifying unexplained aerial phenomena.
