🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In September 1956, an observer in Oklahoma City spotted a round or oval luminous object for over 50 minutes. The object was moving southwest, leaving a visible trail and ascending gradually. Although the officer reported it as a weather balloon, investigators considered the evidence insufficient to fully confirm this identification. The conclusion was that it was probably a balloon, but with reservations.
The report includes weather conditions and the exact location of the observer, who used binoculars to track the object. Two additional witnesses, mentioned in the document, also supported the identification as a weather balloon. However, the lack of images or more concrete data kept the case in a limbo between conventional and unexplained.
