UFO sighted from a C-54 in Texas

In March 1952, a pilot and co-pilot of a C-54 reported seeing a bright metallic object, round or oblong in shape, the size of a dime at arm's length. The object had an exhaust trail and was observed for one second from the cockpit of the aircraft. Although several explanations were considered, such as a weather balloon or an astronomical phenomenon, none were confirmed. The official report concluded that the data was insufficient for evaluation.

The aircraft was located in Amarillo, Texas, and the weather conditions were clear with variable winds at different altitudes.
