🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A bright round object was observed for almost half an hour in the sky over Santee, California, in 1956. Witnesses described it as a brilliant white point, the size of a pin at arm's length. The object slowly moved from southwest to northeast before coming to a stop and remaining stationary. Despite the long observation, no photos were taken and no radar data was recorded. The official conclusion pointed to a balloon as the likely explanation, given the object's trajectory and appearance.
Visibility was good, with clear skies and favorable conditions for observation. Two individuals alerted the official observer, who documented the incident. Although searches were conducted in the area, nothing physical was found. This case reflects how UFO reports are often attributed to conventional explanations, especially when there is a lack of compelling evidence.
