🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1956, a witness in Kentucky observed an object at low altitude that appeared the size of a nickel held at arm's length. They described a gunmetal grey object without wings or tail, stationary for about a minute. Although several explanations such as balloons, aircraft, or astronomical phenomena were considered, no clear conclusion was reached. The report includes details from additional witnesses and a photograph that was analyzed, though its authenticity remained uncertain. The unusual flight pattern and lack of conventional features raised doubts about the object's nature.
The testimony was provided by an employee of an advertising company who, upon learning of the sighting, requested details from the husband of a colleague. He described seeing a reddish object in the sky moving north in a straight line before disappearing. The object showed no signs of being an airplane and made unusual turns. Another witness, interested in astronomy, confirmed the sighting and noted the object had no known characteristics. Despite efforts to identify it, the case remains unresolved.
